If you are a follower of Scrapbooksteals.com, you know all about their fun challenges that they love to issue. This blog hop is based on the challenges that they have issued in conjunction with Birthday week and Online Crop Party tonight. Sounds Fun, right?!
I am always up for a good challenge so I accepted all 4 challenges.
Challenge #1
Happy 4th birthday – use 4 items
Use four items and ONLY four items for your project.
My 5 year old is obsessed with art and crafting. I don't know where she got it from. ;) She is daily giving me projects to hang up so I thought it would be fun to make her a place of her very own to hang her projects. The 4 items I used for this project are: 12x12 ChipDecor Square from Hobby Lobby, ink, fabric paper, and mini clothespins. The "I love art" fabric paper was a KI Memories steal and the plain fabric paper is from American Crafts.
Challenge #2- 2009
Since we launched in 2009, do a project remembering your favorite part of the year.
It was a bit hard to pick my favorite moment from 2009 because there were so many great ones. I decided to go with the moment in September when we found out that we were having a BOY! I always dreamed of having all boys. We had two sweet girls already and I was really hoping for a boy. Because of him, I get to use all those fun boy papers, like Authentique's Loyal. It is so fun having a boy and despite my wishes for all boys, we were only blessed with one and that I am grateful for. :) (They are so different than girls!)
Challenge #3 – Favorite Vendor
Choose your favorite ScrapbookSTEALS.com vendor and create a project using their products.
Picking a favorite vendor wasn't too hard for me. :) Those who have known me for awhile or have seen me on the SS wall know of my obsession with Fancy Pants. The wonderful buyers at SS (Love you Brittany and Melodee!) are always so wonderful in getting Fancy Pants stuff for me to add to my collection. I used their wonderful Park Bench collection and Kiwi Lane Templates (another one of my favorite SS steals) to create a fun layout of the hubby and I.
Challenge #4 – Washi Fever
Create a project using everyone's newest obsession, washi tape. On this project you must use 4 different tapes (since we are celebrating our 4th birthday).
Who doesn't love washi tape?! I have more than enough washi to last me until the end of time. It is cute and addicting. I use it quite a bit on my layouts, but I wanted to try something new. I stole some of these fabulous MME Washi Tape sets awhile back and thought this was the perfect opportunity to really use them.
This is just a little 5x7 canvas covered with washi and an inspirational quote. I need something to help remind me that I have done difficult things and that I can conquer any obstacle in my way.
After you are done with the hop, be sure what you do what you need to do on the Scrapbooksteals.com's blog so that you can be enter into the prize associated with each challenge. (Participants will have until next Wednesday, midnight mountain time to post links to their entries.)
Also I would love to give away a little scrappy something for a commenter on this post. Just tell me what your favorite Scrapbooksteals steal has been. I will select a winner for this wonderful prize on Wednesday night. :)

Great job on all four projects Staci! THe layouts are my favorite. And my favorite steal - well, how could I pick! There have been so many amazing kits (especially MME) that I just can't pick one :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful projects. My favorite steal has been some wonderful thickers that I picked up.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun projects! I love the little art display board. Great idea and great job on completing all of the challenges!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects! I think my fave steal will be one I haven't received yet... My boyfriend ordered the Box of scraps for me as part of my b-day gift. Can't wait to see what is in it... I am so excited! Too bad I have to wait til the end of July.
ReplyDeleteExcellent job on all four challenges! I guess my fave steal has to be my very first one that got me hooked on scrapbooking - MME Fine & Dandy 'Tickled Pink'
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely great! My fave scrapbook steals would have to be my very first purchase of FP To the Moon collection--that started it all for me! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all of your projects, Staci! I especially love your 2009 layout. (You don't have to include me in the giveaway...I just wanted to share the love!) :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful projects, Staci! I see I'm not the only one who like the 2009 layout, but I'm going to say it anyway- it's my favorite! (And I'm finding it kind of funny to see that others on the hop were expecting babies that year, too. And I'm right there with everyone... maybe I'll have to do that for my challenge page, too. ;) )
ReplyDeleteShoot you are as inspirational as always. LOVE these projects. Your 2009 layout is decidedly my favorite, I'm gonna have to come back and stare at it so I can lift it. ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea for hanging up the artwork. You never cease to amaze me. And what awesome photos (and layout) using the fancy pants. You rock, Staci.
ReplyDeleteI don't need to be included in the giveaway, but I wanted to tell you that I absolutely love your projects!
ReplyDeleteWonderful fun projects Staci. I especially love the idea to hang up art work. And the 2009 layout. Thanks for the super inspiration. (Also no need to include me in your draw....I have way more than I need :)
ReplyDeleteGreat work Staci! What a fun idea to make something to hang up art work with. And you totally rocked the Fancy Pants, as usual. =)
ReplyDeleteFabulous projects! Love the gorgeous simplicity of the washi canvas and I totally need to lift your artwork display idea!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects! Gotta love some Fancy Pants and Kiwi Lane together!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!! I love your FP layouts. You have a way with them!! And I adore the wall hanger for your little girl. It's just too precious. She will love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your LOs and thanks for the great washi idea. I'm looking for ways to use it since I still am new to it. My favorite purchase? So hard to choose! Might have to be my lighted glue gun (which isn't for scrapping) but how to choose from all the other purchases of papers, tape, embellishments, etc. Love scrapbook steals.
ReplyDeleteFor me its Mr. Hueys!!!! :) Love your little hang up clip Staci!!
