Welcome! I am so happy to have you here today for the Scrapbooksteals.com Blog Hop! I was so excited when I found out I would be working with the Studio Calico Wood Veneers. They are one of my favorite scrapbooking embellishments and they come in so many different designs.  One of my favorite things about them is that the possibilities are endless. I was sent the Scalloped Circles and I couldn't have been happier.

For the blog hop, I decided to use Stickles to create some fun Spring decor.

I grabbed some paper, chipboard letters, wire, Stickles, wood block, and my wood veneers and got to work. My hubby was sweet enough to drill 5 holes in the block for me and it was pretty easy assembly after that.

Before I covered the veneers is Stickles, I laid them out and attached wire to the back using E600. After the glue was dry, I applied the Stickles and let dry overnight. While those are drying, I cut my paper to size, applied it with some spray adhesive and let dry. After a few minutes, I sanded down the paper edges and inked them.  After applied the letters, I let it sit overnight. The next day i just found the holes, stuck some E600 in along with the flowers and let dry. (Just to be on the safe side, I put more glue in the holes as the other glue slid into the hole. Those flowers aren't going anywhere!)

Besides home decor projects, these veneers were so fun to use on cards and layouts.

If you haven't tried the wood veneers yet, you are missing out. Head on over and steal some and then keep hopping! These ladies have some wonderful projects if you are still on the fence about them. You won't be sorry!
